How to Avoid Catching COVID-19

coronavirus-symptoms-prevention_23-21484

Everyone is freaking out because of how quickly the Coronavirus is spreading all around the world. People thought that this virus could difficulty get to their countries, but, in reality, it is really easy not only for the coronavirus but for any virus to spread. People think the only way to stop those epidemics is to find a scientific alternative such as a vaccination. Nevertheless, taking preventive measures to avoid being infected by a virus is a much better strategy, and easier than what you think.

In order to prevent a virus from affecting you, you should just take the basic hygiene rules. That's it; it is as simple as that. It is not completely effective the so-popular shut-yourself-home-don’t-talk-to-anyone solution. Sooner or later, the virus will even get in your home. This is why scientists prefer that people wash their hands constantly. In order to make a considerable reduction in the transmissibility of the disease, factors such as early detection of the symptoms, isolation of the infected people and good hand washing should be taken into account. After washing your hands it is recommended to apply alcohol because, as exaggerated as it may sound, it allows to get better disinfection. This is important because, for example, if you are in an airport and somebody infected with the virus puts their hand on a surface after sneezing on it, you can later touch that same surface and hence get the

virus in your hands. Then, as it is probable you will later touch your face, the virus just got its free entrance to your body through your mouth, nose, or eyes. You’ll no doubt get infected touching your face or without washing your hands.

So, stay safe: wash your hands, avoid touching your upper body, carry hand sanitizer or alcohol with you, and avoid events with more than 10 people involved. For now, let us continue with our lives the most normal way we can in our homes, watching over our loved elderly family members, joining our efforts to eradicate this pandemic as soon as we can.
